Grey Map
The Grey Map, official designation Elondor1, was the first full sketch of the continent of Elondor. Drawn in September of 2013, it served as the main reference map for the first month of Elondor’s existence before being replaced by the Hybrid Sketch Map and eventually the Black Map. It is labelled in German.
It significantly differs from later incarnations of the geography in both the lack of many landmarks and the appearance of outdated or later changed features. Only a handful of settlements are included, while most larger rivers are marked but unlabelled (save for the Besokan). Most notably, the continent is divided into three, rather than the later seven regions, with Seligon covering the southern two thirds of the later area, Belkondíl spanning all of western Elondor, and ‘Vólsikon’ in the later Celsond and Nelkon. the (here unnamed) Reknayan Mountains are presented out-of-bounds of any region; Celsond is presented as a ‘desert’ rather than a tundra, while the Erendal is a peninsula rather than a mountain range. No states or domains of power are indicated on the map.
