Hybrid Sketch Map

The label of Hybrid Sketch Map or Elondor1a covers a series of maps of Elondor, all based on scans of the Grey Map, created between October 2013 and May 2014 and serving as the main map of of Elondor before being replaced by the Black Map in summer 2014. Several iterations of this map were created, capturing ongoing revisions in the geography of Elondor.

Its earliest form stayed largely true to the geography of the Grey Map, merely adding details including more settlements, forests, and hydronymic labels and notably introducing a ‘Celsond Ice Waste’ instead of the Grey Map’s desert of Celsond. Further features were added in later iterations of the map, including the Míbar-Hûrind, Ílgar’s Woods, the Forests of the Besokan, and the Hidden Monastery, with Celsond eventually relabelled as a ‘Tundra’.
